Somatic Sessions

Are you interested in mindfully exploring your core beliefs while being held in a container of loving kindness and attuned presence that supports transformation?  

In these therapeutic sessions I will compassionately and gently guide and support you to mindfully explore and deepen relationship with yourself, your body, me, and the world around us. Sessions often begin with a guided mindfulness practice to bring gentle awareness to the body and then we follow the body and mind’s wisdom by immersing and honoring what is present in this moment.

My studies of Somatic Psychotherapy are grounded in Hakomi Institute’s 2 year comprehensive training and Shirley Dvir’s embodied touch practice of Relational Somatic Healing. At the core of my work is an understanding that this incredible journey of bringing life into the world can be deeply healing and transformational when it is held with respect for the wisdom of the body, compassionate presence, and skillful action.

It would be my honor to support you as a somatic guide on this healing journey.

My work is a good fit for those seeking personal growth and development, for preparation and integration of expanded states, and for those who have mindfulness experience. If you don't have experience with embodied mindfulness then I can support your development of these skills.

Free 30 Minute Call: We will discuss your questions and desires for working together. I can answer any questions you might have for me about the kind of support I offer as a somatic practitioner. This is a good time for us to see if we might be a good fit for working together.


What might a session look like?

  • The session will begin with a check-in and guidance into mindful awareness.

  • From this embodied state I will invite you to explore what is arising whether it be a memory or current experience while staying with an awareness of the body and emotional state.

  • Throughout the session we attune to your personal resources such as the breath and back body awareness that will support you in staying present when activated.

  • From this resourced and embodied space it is possible to ‘re-wire’ past experiences and receive the wisdom of your core experience and intelligence.

  • We will close the session with space to harvest from this journey and find a grounded state to return to the world.

    • How many sessions might I need?

      • I recommend starting with 3-4 sessions so we can build some connection, trust and safety in our connection, and then deepen into exploring whatever you would like to work with in this time.

    • Should we do in-person or virtual sessions?

      • I find both virtual and IRL sessions powerful and rewarding. I actually studied Hakomi virtually during the pandemic and so I am very well versed in virtual support. However, I also love to bring in therapeutic touch when appropriate to support working with deep preverbal states. We can talk more about what might meet your needs and desires in the intro call.
